Statement from LIVES

As a charity, it goes without saying that we are disappointed with the most recent news article published by the BBC. It is not reflective of the charity, nor the dedication and commitment of our volunteer Responders and clinical teams.

Unfortunately, there appear to be a small number of people who have chosen to attempt to tarnish the good works and commitment of the people who volunteer and work for LIVES. We will continue to focus our efforts on supporting these selfless volunteers and the communities who we are proud to serve.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our devoted supporters and fundraisers for the excellent ways they support LIVES.

This week across the UK we’re among the many charities celebrating #VolunteersWeek. Volunteering is at our core – it’s our legacy for more than 50 years and future. At LIVES we couldn’t deliver the lifesaving care that we do across Lincolnshire without our network of highly skilled and talented Responders – so thank you.

As a charity we never take the work of volunteers for granted – and together we’re all still striving to deliver a collective mission – to make Lincolnshire a safer place to live.
