LIVES is an organisation made up of many talented individuals working together to make Lincolnshire a safer county. When a medical emergency strikes – it takes a team to save a life.

In this new weekly segment, #TheFacesBehindLIVES, we give you the opportunity to meet the team! This week we’d like you to meet James.

Who are you, what’s your role and how long have you been at LIVES?

Hi, I’m James. I started working for LIVES in 2023 as Logistics Support. I have been a volunteer First Responder based in Sleaford since 2022.

What does your day to day look like?

My day begins with supporting the commissioned services with any immediate restocks and logistical support as required. I then respond to all the districts with equipment requests and ensuring each responder has medical kits fit for patient care.

My role is integral to the success of our work by ensuring all consumables and medical equipment is of the best quality and ready for use as soon as it’s required.

What’s something about your role that might surprise somebody reading this article?

As Logistic Support, I support the entirety of LIVES area of operations; from Stamford in the south of the County, up to Barton Upon Humber in the most North of the county. As Lincolnshire is the second largest county in the country, supporting each responder and district is a vast operation.
