Responder stories
The LIVES Education Team, in partnership with UFI VocTech, has been shortlisted for an international technology award.
The gala dinner, held at the Park Plaza in Westminster earlier this month, brought together some of the industry’s top education and technology providers. The Learning Technologies Awards are the most independent and sought-after awards in the industry, recognising the commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world. Finalists are selected by an independent judging panel of experts organised by the eLearning Network.
LIVES was shortlisted for ‘Best Digital Transformation of a Training Programme in response to COVID-19’. The shortlist includes United Nations & Health Education England. The winner of the evening was Teach First, and whilst we are sad we didn’t win, to be shortlist with these amazing organisations is something we are incredibly proud of.
LIVES Clinical Education Manager, Curtis Dorbon worked with his team of educators alongside VocTech to take our vital lifesaving training to an online platform during the lockdown in response to COVID-19, where face to face training could not take place. This investment in training ensured our Responders could remained qualified and confident to be when they are needed in a 999 medical emergency.
Curtis said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the awards ceremony. To be alongside other education and technology providers that we respect, was a real honour.”
