We’ve Officially Launched Forever In Bloom at the Petwood Hotel
On Saturday 23rd May, we were proud to officially launch Forever In Bloom at the Petwood Hotel, welcoming supporters, volunteers, partners and members of the community for a truly special afternoon of remembrance and reflection.
Forever In Bloom has been created to honour lives remembered, celebrate community and provide a space for people to reflect and connect through a stunning display of 1,000 flowers.
During the launch event, we heard moving speeches from our CEO Nikki Cooke, Air Vice Marshal Mark Hunt OBE, our Senior Fundraiser Sam Ellingford and Padre Eddie Wynn, who each reflected on the importance of remembrance, community and the impact the campaign will have.
We were also honoured to welcome MP Victoria Atkins to the launch, alongside the incredible Martin and Elaine, whose daughter Christine is at the heart of Forever In Bloom.
Special floral tributes were dedicated to Christine and to Squadron Leader George Leonard Johnson MBE DFM, the last surviving Dambuster, recognising two lives with deep personal and historical significance.
One of the most memorable moments of the afternoon came as the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) carried out three incredible flyovers above the Petwood Hotel, creating a moving tribute that brought guests together in reflection and remembrance.
We would like to thank everyone who joined us for the launch and helped make the day so meaningful.
The Forever In Bloom display is now open to visitors at the Petwood Hotel until 7th June, and we invite everyone to come along, experience the installation and support the work of LIVES.
